On 16th September, in a ceremony at the Constitutional Court attended by invited guests, nine new judges were sworn in by Chief Justice Chidyausiku – three judges of the Supreme Court and three of the High Court.

Third Term of 2015 Legal Year Starts on 14th September

The Constitutional Court, Supreme Court, High Court, Administrative Court and Labour Court have been on vacation for a month.  The third term of the 2015 Legal Year starts on Monday 14th September.  From that date these courts resume regular court sittings to hear appeals, trials and other proceedings in both civil and criminal matters.

1.         Introduction

1.1 This report contains findings of the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC), pursuant to an investigation undertaken by the ZHRC into a complaint alleging the violation of human rights of farmworkers at Spring Farm, Hurungwe Central District in the Mashonaland West Province of Zimbabwe.

Public Debt Management Act, 2015

To provide for the management of public debt in Zimbabwe; to establish the Public Debt Management Office on a statutory basis and provide for its functions and administration; to provide for the raising, administration and repayment of loans by the State and for the giving of guarantees in respect of certain loans; to amend the Public Finance Management Act [Chapter 22:19) (No. 11 of 2009) and the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Zimbabwe Act [Chapter 22:201(No. 7 of 2014); and to provide for matters connected with or incidental to the foregoing.
