Chief Justice’s Practice Direction 1 of 2020 on

Court Operations during the 21-day National Shutdown

The Chief Justice yesterday issued the following self-explanatory Practice Direction effective from today, Monday 30th March 2020 and until Sunday 19th April, unless earlier extended.

SI 2020-083 Public Health (COVID-19 Prevention, Containment and Treatment) (National Lockdown) Order, 2020

THE Minister of Health, in terms of section 8(1) of the Public Health (COVID-19 Prevention, Containment and Treatment) Regulations, 2020 (published as Statutory Instrument 77 of 2020), and in consultation with the President, makes the following order:—

SI 2020-082 Public Health (COVID-19 Prevention, Containment and Treatment) (Amendment) Regulations, 2020 (No. 1)

IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Health has, in terms of section 68 of the Public Health Act [Chapter 15:17], made the following regulations:—
1. These regulations may be cited as the Public Health (COVID-19 Prevention, Containment and Treatment) (Amendment) Regulations, 2020 (No. 1).

SI 2020-081 Labour Relations (Specification of Minimum Wages) (Amendment) Notice, 2020 (No. 15)

IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, in terms of section 20 of the Labour Act [Chapter 28:01], has made the following notice:—

(1) This notice may be cited as the Labour Relations (Specifi cation of Minimum Wages) (Amendment) Notice, 2020 (No. 15).

SI 2020-080 Banking (Money Transmission, Mobile Banking and Mobile Money Interoperability) Regulations, 2020

IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Finance and Economic Development has, in terms of section 81 of the Banking Act [Chapter 24:20], made the following regulations:—

SI 2020-079 Access to Information and Protection of Privacy (Registration, Accreditation and Levy) (Amendment) Regulations, 2020 (No. 8)

IT is hereby notified that the Commission has, with the approval of the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, in terms of section 91 of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act [Chapter 10:27], made the following regulations:—
1. These regulations may be cited as the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy (Registration, Accreditation and Levy) (Amendment) Regulations, 2020 (No. 8).

SI 2020-076 Civil Protection (Declaration of State of Disaster Rural and Urban Areas of Zimbabwe) (COVID-19) Notice, 2020

IN terms of section 27(2) of the Civil Protection Act Chapter 10:06], His Excellency the President hereby declares as follows:—

1. This notice may be cited as the Civil Protection (Declaration of State of Disaster: Rural and Urban Areas of Zimbabwe) (COVID-19) Notice, 2020.

SI 2020-074 Customs and Excise (Suspension) (Amendment) Regulations, 2020 (No. 229)

IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Finance and Economic Development has, in terms of section 235 as read with section 120 of the Customs and Excise Act [Chapter 23:02], made the following regulations:—
1. These regulations may be cited as the Customs and Excise (Suspension) (Amendment) Regulations, 2020 (No. 229).

SI 2020-072 Parks and Wild Life (Specially Protected Animals) (Amendment of the Sixth Schedule to the Act) Notice, 2020

IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry has, in terms of section 43 of the Parks and Wild Life Act [Chapter 20:14], amended the Sixth Schedule to the Act as follows:—
1. These regulations may be cited as the Parks and Wild Life (Specially Protected Animals) (Amendment of the Sixth Schedule to the Act) Notice, 2020.

IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry has, in terms of section 128 of the Parks and Wild Life Act [Chapter 20:14], made the following regulations:—
1. These regulations may be cited as the Parks and Wild Life (Specially Protected Animals) Regulations, 2020.
