Postal and Telecommunications (Internet Services) (Amendment) Regulations, 2015 (No.1)

IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services, after consultation with the Authority has, in terms of section 99 of the Postal and Telecommunications Act [Chapter 12:05], made the following regulations:-
1. These regulations may be cited as the Postal and Telecommunications (Internet Services) (Amendment) Regulations, 2015 (No. 1).
2. These regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 10th of July, 2013.
3. The Postal and Telecommunications (Internet Services) Regulations, 2001, published in Statutory Instrument 262 of 2001, is amended by the deletion of section 7(1) and substituted by the following-
"(1) A licence shall be in written form and shall be valid for (a) fourteen years, in the case of class A Internet Access Provider Licence; or
(b) twelve years, in the case of class B Internet Access Provider Licence.".
