Public Hearings into Gwanda and Manicaland University Bills
The Portfolio Committee on Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology will be conducting Public Hearings next week on the following two Bills:
Gwanda State University Bill
Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences Bill.
The public, stakeholders, interested groups and organisations are invited by Parliament to the hearings. Contributions made will be considered by the Portfolio Committee and will form part of its report on the Bills to be tabled in the National Assembly during the debate on the Bills.
The Bills were gazetted on 4th September.

Monday 23rd November : Mutare
8.30 am to 10.30 am at the Mutare Civil Centre.
Tuesday 24th November : Bulawayo
8 am to 10 am at the Small City Hall.
Tuesday 24th November : Gwanda
2 pm to 4 pm at the Gwanda Hotel.
If you want to make oral representations at a hearing, signify this to the committee clerk before the hearing, if possible, so that she can notify the chairperson to call on you. An oral representation is more effective if followed up in writing. If you are providing a written copy, it is advisable to take as many copies as possible with you for circulation at the hearing.
Oral representations at one of the hearings are not essential. Written submissions and correspondence are also welcome and can be:
