Chief Justice's Practice Direction 01-2016

THE CHIEF JUSTICE, THE HONOURABLE MR JUSTICE G. G. CHIDYAUSIKU, HAS ISSUED THE FOLLOWING PRACTICE DIRECTION:

WHEREAS the Rules of the High Court 1971, provide for the civil practice and procedures to be followed in the High Court;

AND WHEREAS in certain of the rules mention is made specifically of the practice to be adopted in the registry at Harare as distinct from the practices to be adopted in the registry at
Bulawayo; these being the two registries in existence up to the publication of this practice direction;

AND WHEREAS the Chief Justice has in terms of section 47 of the High Court Act [Chapter 7:06], directed that there be a sitting of the High Court at Masvingo;

NOW THEREFORE the Chief Justice hereby directs that the practice and procedure to be adopted in the High Court sitting at Harare shall also be the practice and procedure for the High Court sitting at Masvingo.
