Provincial Councils and Administration Amendment Bill H.B. 5, 2021

To make amendments to the Provincial Councils and Administration Act [Chapter 29:11] to bring it into conformity with the Constitution; and  to provide for matters connected with or incidental to the foregoing.
Now therefore be it enacted by the Parliament and the President of Zimbabwe.
1 Short title and date of commencement
(1) This Act may be cited as the Provincial and Metropolitan Councils
Administration Act, 2021.

Marriages Bill – Minister’s Proposed Amendments for Senate Committee Stage

The Marriages Bill is on the Senate’s Order Paper for Wednesday 24 March 2021.  Although the Senate has not yet given the Bill its Second Reading, the Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Bill has a Notice of Amendments on the Order Paper for the next stage of the Bill, which will be the Committee Stage.

Madam Speaker, I am humbled to present the principles of the Centre for Education, Innovation, Research and Development Bill.

To provide for the establishment and function of the Centre for Education, Innovation Research, and Development; to provide for the management and regulation of education, innovation and Research and to provide for and matters incidental to or connected with the foregoing.

Cyber Security and Data Protection Bill - Proposed Committee Stage Amendments

CYBER SECURITY AND DATA PROTECTION BILL

The Bill received its Second Reading in the National Assembly late on Wednesday 30th September 2020.  The Committee Stage is on the National Assembly's agenda for Thursday 1st October.   The Bill is being fast-tracked through Parliament by the Government.

Finance Bill, 2020 - Amendments by National Assembly on 10th September 2020

The Finance Bill, 2020 (H.B. 4, 2020) was passed by the National Assembly on Thursday 10th September 2020 with amendments.  It was then sent to the Senate.

Zimbabwe Media Commission Bill - Minister's Proposed Committee Stage Amendments

The Committee Stage of this Bill is due to be taken in the National Assembly on Tuesday 8th September 2020 or soon thereafter.  The responsible Minister - the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services - has given notice that she will asking the National Assembly to approve two major amendments to the Bill.

The Minister's amendments, if approved, will change the Bill in the following respects:

Finance Bill HB 4 2020

This Bill will amend the Finance Act [Chapter 23:04], the Income Tax Act [Chapter 23:06], and the Capital Gains Tax Act [Chapter 23:01]. In more detail, the individual clauses of the Bill provide as follows:
