SI 2016-064 - Control of Goods (Open General Import Licence) (No 2) (Amendment) Notice 2016 (No 8)

NOTE BY VERITAS
SI 64/2016 adds new items to the Schedule to the Open General Import Licence
published in SI 8/1996. Section 3 of SI 8/1996 of allows the import into Zimbabwe
of all goods except those listed or referred to in this Schedule.
The effect of SI 64/2016, therefore, is that with effect from 17th June import of the
goods listed in the SI is prohibited unless it is covered by a special import licence

SI 2016-050 - Defence (Regular Force) (Officers) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 (No. 7)

IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Defence, in terms of section 113 of the Defence Act [Chapter 11:02], and after consultation with the Defence Forces Service Commission,has made the following regulations:-
1. These regulations may be cited as the Defence (Regular Force) (Officers) (Amendment) Regulations, 2016 (No.7).

SI 2016-053 - Date of Commencement Joint Ventures Act [Chapter 22.22] (No. 6 of 2015)

HIS Excellency the President, in terms of section (2) of the Joint Ventures Act [Chapter 22:22] (No.6 of 2015), hereby fixes the date of publication of this notice as the date on which the said Act shall come into operation.

Note by Veritas: Commencement date for the Joint Ventures Act [Chapter 22:22] is 27th May, 2016.

SI 2016-042 - Postal & Telecommunications (Quality Service) Regulations,2016

IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Information Communication Technology,Postal and Courier Services has, in terms of section 99 of the Postal and Telecommunications Act [Chapter 12 :05], made the following regulations in consultation with the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe. These regulations may be cited as the Postal and Telecommunications (Quality of Services) Regulations, 2016.

SI 2016-040 - Proclamation 3 of 2016 - Zim-South Africa Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation

PREAMBLE

The Government of the Republic of South Africa and the Government of the Republic of Zrmbabwe;
DESIRING to conclude an Agreement for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income;
HAVE AGREED AS FOLLOWS:

ARTICLE 1
PERSONS COVERED

This Agreement shall apply to persons who are residents of one or both of the Contracting States.

SI 2015-129 - Road Traffic (Construction, Equipment and Use) Regulations, 2015

lT is hereby notified that the Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, in terms of section 81 of the Road Traffic Act [Chapter 13:11], has made the following regulations:- These regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Construction, Equipment and Use) Regulations, 2015. These regulations shall come into operation on the 14th of December 2015.

SI 2016-001 - Amendment to Proclamation 8 of 2015 (Commission of Inquiry into Pension & Insurance Values)

This Statutory Instrument makes amendments to Proclamation in Statutory Instrument 80 of 2015 establishing the Commission of Inquiry into the Conversion of Pensions and Insurance Values from Zimbabwean dollars to United States dollars setting out its functions, responsibilities and duties.

1 This notice may be cited as the Presidential Pension and Retirement Benefits (Services and facilities for Former Vice Presidents) Notice, 2015.
2 A former Vice President of Zimbabwe who has at any time since December 1987 been Vice President of Zimbabwe for at least one full term of office, shall be entitled to use and enjoyment of the following services, facilities and allowances -
