SI 2023-009 Exchange Control (Payment for Electricity and Related Services in Foreign Currency by Exporters and Partial Exporters) (Amendment) Order, 2023 (No. 1)

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the President, in terms of section 2 of the Exchange Control Act [Chapter 22:05], has made the following regulations:—
1. These regulations may be cited as the Exchange Control (Payment for Electricity and Related Services in Foreign Currency by Exporters and Partial Exporters) (Amendment) Order, 2023 (No. 1).

SI 2023-008 Lotteries and Gaming (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations, 2023 (No. 8)

IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage has, in terms of section 65 of the Lotteries and Gaming Act [Chapter 10:26], as read with sections 16 and 23 of the Betting and Totalizator Control Act [Chapter 10:02], made the
following regulations:—
1. These regulations may be cited as the Lotteries and Gaming (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations, 2023 (No. 8).

ADDRESS BY THE HONOURABLE MR JUSTICE GARWE, JUDGE OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF ZIMBABWE ON THE OCCASION OF THE OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE 2023 LEGAL YEAR ON 9 JANUARY 2023 AT THE HIGH COURT OF ZIMBABWE IN MUTARE

DISTINGUISHED GUESTS, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, on behalf of the Honourable Chief Justice of Zimbabwe and the entirety of the Zimbabwe judiciary, I extend a warm welcome to all of you to the 2023 Legal Year Opening Ceremony taking place here at the High Court of Zimbabwe in Mutare. I consider it an honour to stand before you and address you on this occasion. It is yet that time in our calendar where stakeholders involved in the administration of justice gather to mark the commencement of the legal year.

REPORT OF PARLIAMENT’S AD HOC COMMITTEE ON ITS ANALYSIS THE 2022 ZEC PRELIMINARY REPORT ON THE DELIMITATION EXERCISE

This report was presented in both the National Assembly and the Senate this morning, Friday 13th January 2023.  The presentation took the form of reading out the full report.  Immediately after the presentation both Houses adjourned to Tuesday afternoon 17th January 2023 to debate the Ad Hoc Committee’s report and    on the 17th and 18th January.
