The Judicial Service Commission announces that a vacancy of Chief Justice of the Republic of Zimbabwe will arise by operation of law on 1st March 2017.
It is necessary to appoint a Chief Justice for the Republic of Zimbabwe.
In terms of section 180 (2) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe, members of the public are hereby invited to nominate suitably qualified persons to fill the above position.
Members of the public intending to nominate candidates can obtain nomination forms from:
i. the office of the Secretary, Judicial Service Commission, Old
Supreme Building, Cnr Kwame Nkrumah Avenue/Third Street;
or
ii. the office of any Provincial Magistrate in charge of a Province: or
iii. the website of the JSC www.jsc.org.zw where they can be
downloaded.
All completed nomination forms, with attached nominee's curriculum vitae, must be submitted to the office of the Secretary, Judicial Service Commission, Old Supreme Court Building, Cnr Kwame Nkrumah Avenue/Third Street or the office of any Provincial Magistrate in charge of a Province by no later than close of business on 31 October 2016.
