Final Public Hearing on Companies and Other Business Entities Bill
Readers are reminded that the Portfolio Committee on Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs will be holding its final public hearing on this Bill:
Date: Monday 9th March
Time: 10.00 am
Venue: National Assembly Chamber.
The Bill was only gazetted on 9th March. The prompt public hearings indicate that it is being accorded priority treatment by Parliament. So this may well be the last opportunity for interested organisations and individuals to make criticisms of and recommendations for improvement of the Bill face to face with members of the Portfolio Committee. The committee will include an account of public reaction to the Bill in its report to the National Assembly in due course.
If attending, please use the entrance to Parliament on Kwame Nkrumah Ave between 2nd and 3rd Streets. Please note that IDs must be produced.

Open Committee Meetings
The committee meetings listed below, to be held at Parliament in Harare, will be open to attendance by members of the public, but will not be full public hearings or consultations. Members of the public may attend the meetings as observers only, not as participants, i.e. they may observe and listen but not speak.

Portfolio Committee: Mines and Energy
Oral evidence on the mining operations in Chiadzwa from:
- the Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, Dr Obert Mpofu,
- the Commissioner-General of Police, Cde G. Matanga, and
- others.
Note: At the last meeting Dr Mpofu refused to answer questions from the Committee.
