Public Hearings Monday 13th to Friday 17th December:

On Child Labour and Living Condition in Children’s Homes

Parliament has published the self-explanatory notice set out below notifying that that the Senate’s Thematic Committee on Standing Rules and Orders will next week conduct public hearings in various centres into child labour and living conditions in Children’s Homes.   

PARLIAMENT’S NOTICE

PUBLIC HEARINGS

The Thematic Committee on Human Rights will hold public hearings on child labour and living conditions inherent in Children’s Homes from the 13th to the 17th of December 2021. The committee will cover the following places in Zimbabwe:

ALL THOSE WHO WILL BE WEARING MILITARY UNIFORMS, SIGNS OF RANKS, FLAGS OR BADGES AND POLITICAL PARTY REGALIA WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE PUBLIC HEARING.

The public hearings will at all times comply with the Ministry of Health and child Care COVID 19 Regulations as outlined in Statutory Instruments 99 and 110 regarding the observing of social distancing, sanitization, temperature screening and wearing of facial masks.

All members of the public are urged to observe these requirements which will be monitored by the Ministry of Health and Child Welfare teams.

The public, interested groups, organisations are invited to attend these public hearings.
