This  Bill replaces the Police Amendment Bill HB 2, 2021 which lapsed in November 2021 at the end of the Fourth Session of Parliament and has not been restored to the National Assembly Order Paper for the present Fifth Session. 

As a new Bill it will have to undergo all normal stages for a new Bill, starting with its introduction in the National Assembly at least fourteen days after its gazetting.
