WHEREAS His Excellency the President declared a State of Disaster in connection with the deplorable state of cleanliness of the Harare Metropolitan Province on 31st July, 2023, by Statutory Instrument 140 of 2023;
AND WHEREAS it has become necessary to extend thedeclaration of the said State of Disaster for a further period to 31st December, 2023:
NOW, THEREFORE, HIS Excellency the President, in terms of the proviso to section 27(2) of the Civil Protection Act [Chapter 10:06], by this declaration extends the operation of Statutory Instrument 140 of 2023, to the 31st December, 2023.
