LILONGWE, MALAWI: AUGUST 17-18, 2013.
1. The 33rd Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) was held in Lilongwe, Republic of Malawi on 17th and 18th August 2013.
SADC region has made significant strides in the consolidation of the citizens’ participation in the decision- making processes and consolidation of democratic practice and institutions. The Constitutions of all
SADC Member States enshrine the principles of equal opportunities and full participation of the citizens in the political process.
