GUVAVA JA: [1] On 28 July 2023 this Court dismissed with no order as to costs an appeal against the judgment of the High Court under judgment number HH 418/23 dated 12 July 2023. The judgment concerns the leadership dispute in the Movement for Democratic Change formerly led by the late Morgan Tsvangirai (MDC), who died in February 2018.
This is the Supreme Court judgment of 20th January 2020 deciding that a pre-22nd February 2019 judgment debt expressed in US dollars can be discharged on and after that date by payment in RTGS dollars on a one-to-one basis.

As of 23rd April 2019, the Supreme Court Rules 2018, published in SI 84/2018 [link] have been amended once, by SI 89/2019 [link], of 19th April 2019 - which affected rules 30 and 33 regarding appeals by the Prosecutor-General in criminal cases.
