Voter Registration Blitz National Itinerary 1 - 28 February 2022

All pages, except the first page, of the PDF document downloadable below were downloaded from the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission [ZEC] website.   It is the digital version of the tables showing the  notice headed Mobile Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) Centres for Delimitation Itinerary: Phase 1 published by ZEC in newspapers on 25th January 2022.   These tables formed the greater part of the newspaper notice; in the newspaper notice, however, the tables were preceded by a notification “for general information” by Mr U.

This judgment became available on 4th January 2018.  In it Justice Munangati-Manyonga explains her reasons for the court order she handed down against the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) and the Registrar-General on 29th November last year.  
 
ZEC has said it will abide by the court order.
 

ZEC Voter Registration Centres notice

REGISTRATION OF VOTERS AT ZEC DISTRICT OFFICES: 2017

 

It is hereby notified for general information that the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) shall be registering voters using the new Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) system at all ZEC District offices with effect from 18 September 2017. The offices will open during normal working hours from 0800hrs to 1645hrs, Monday to Friday.

ZEC Press Release on the Voter Registration Regulations

The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission [ZEC] issued an undated press release about Statutory Instrument 85/2017, Electoral (Registration of Voters) Regulations, 2017 governing voter registration.  Statutory Instrument 85/2017 was gazetted on 21st July 2017 and is available on the Veritas website [link].

President Orders New Registration of Voters
from 14th September to 15th January

In a proclamation gazetted today, 8th September 2017, the President ordered a new registration of voters in all wards and constituencies in Zimbabwe.  The proclamation was issued in terms of section 36A of the Electoral Act.
