ZEC set up Committees

National Logistics Committee:  this was divided into subcommittees: Human Resources; Transport and Communication; Finance; Infrastructure.  Members of were drawn from Ministries and their departments and parastatals.  Both ZEC and the subcommittees visited provinces to assess progress.

Every Zimbabwean citizen who is 18 years or above on polling day is eligible to cast a vote on presentation of:

·        a Zimbabwean national identity card or waiting pass showing that he or she is a citizen,  or

Correction: Fees for Foreign Media Accreditation

In Constitution Watch 12/2013 dated 4th March we listed incorrect [much too low] application and temporary accreditation fees for foreign media practitioners.  The latest Statutory Instrument setting the current fees is available on request from veritas@mango.zw

CONSTITUTION WATCH 8/2013

The Minister of Constitutional and Parliamentary Affairs, Hon. Eric Matinenga, is addressing meetings round the country about the COPAC draft constitution which will be put to voters in the Referendum on Saturday 16th March.  His programme started last week with meetings in Harare, Mashonaland Central and Mashonaland East, and will continue until Tuesday 12th March. 

All meetings are scheduled to start at 10 am.
