SI 2021-077 Collective Bargaining Agreement- Welfare and Educational Institutions (Dispute Resolution)

IT is hereby notified, in terms of section 80 of the Labour Act [Chapter 28:01], that the Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare has approved the publication of the Collective Bargaining Agreement set out in the Schedule, which amends the agreement published in Statutory Instrument 102 of 2014. 
The agreement has been registered in terms of section 79 of the Act.

SI 2018-200 Collective Bargaining Agreement: Welfare and Educational Institutions

This agreement was signed on behalf of employers and employees on 27th January 2017 but its date of commencement is 5th October 2018, the date of gazetting. 

It deals with the renewability of fixed-term contracts of employment, when renewed contracts must be deemed to be contracts without limit of time, and when a break in employment followed by re-engagement is deemed not to have broken continuous employment.
