1. This order may be cited as the Public Health (COVID-19 Prevention, Containment and Treatment) (National Lockdown) (No. 2) Order, 2020.

IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare has, in terms of section 80(1) of the Labour Act [Chapter 28:01], approved the publication of the Collective Bargaining Agreement set out in the Schedule which was registered in terms of

WHEREAS Zimbabwe is still in the midst of the fourth wave of the COVID-19 disease caused by the recent emergence of the Omicron variant of that disease;
AND WHEREAS the Level Two lockdown and the following measures are to be put in place for a further period of fourteen days subject to review at the end thereof:

Public Health Lock-down Order : New Restrictions

In response to a surge of COVID-19 cases caused by the Omicron variant, on Tuesday 4th January the Government published a statutory instrument (SI 1/2022) imposing two restrictions in addition to those already imposed by the Lock-down Order (SI 200/2020).
